Today, Mrs. Rhodes’ first graders had a special treat! Author **Danielle Kirkland** and illustrator **Danae Faaiu** visited the class to share their wonderful book *I See Pumpkins*! 🍂📖 It was extra special because Danielle and Mrs. Rhodes go way back—they were classmates at OSU! The students loved hearing the story and seeing the beautiful illustrations come to life. A huge thank you to Danielle and Danae for inspiring our young readers and showing them the magic of books! ✨

From the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety: There are multiple threatening social media posts and warnings circulating throughout school districts across Oklahoma. To prevent the duplication of efforts and resources, Oklahoma School Security Institute (OSSI) is asking all schools, students, parents, and law enforcement to notify it of threats via the ProtectOK appor the OSSI tipline, (405) 425-7299.   OSSI has been working with the Oklahoma Counter Terrorism Intelligence Center (OCTIC) examining all threats and sharing information with local, state, and federal partners to monitor and investigate all leads and information received. OCTIC, along with other fusion centers nationwide, document reported threats through a national clearinghouse. Many of the threats this week originated outside of Oklahoma and are just now circulating in Oklahoma and impacting our schools. Although these threats were deemed not credible, it remains as important as ever for the public to report suspicious activity, threats, or tips through the ProtectOK app.   It is imperative for members of the public to notify authorities of threats and avoid reposting or sharing threatening post, before law enforcement has a chance to investigate. The safety and security of our children at school is a top priority for OSSI, OCTIC, and all of Oklahoma's law enforcement agencies. OSSI takes all threats seriously and promotes a zero-tolerance approach when dealing with threats to schools. We encourage the public to call 911 if there is an immediate danger. We also ask that you contact local authorities and the school administration if you have any information, are uncomfortable, or are unsure about a situation. *Police Station- 918-485-9564 *Ellington- Shannon Hall shall@wagonerps.org 918-485-3692 *Teague- Dustin Fleming dfleming@wagonerps.org 918-485-2212 *Middle School- Jeremy Holmes jholmes@wagonerps.org 918-485-9541 *High School- Ray Pinney rpinney@wagonerps.org 918-485-5553

Our Native American Club has been busy connecting and learning! At their recent meeting, members gathered to ensure they have all the information they need about the resources their tribes and the JOM (Johnson-O'Malley) program can offer. 💬 In addition to learning, this group is all about **community service** They plan to pick up trash at the local park to keep our community clean. Next up, in about a month, they'll be helping out with the **Ellington Garden** project. 🌱 We’re so proud of the work they’re doing both in and outside of school! Stay tuned for more!
