He presented his skills in OKC today where he shot to the top, competing against 43 other contestants from across the state!
Making the Top 10 qualified Eli to compete at the State FFA Convention in May! We are so proud of you Eli!

Today Mr. Boston and Mrs. Laster took a group of high school students to a Math and Engineering Competiton (MAEC) in Muskogee hosted/ sponsored by ICTC, The Port of Muskogee, and the Oklahoma School of Science and Math. Students participated in engineering events such as a balloon powered car launch and a ping pong ball launch. Students brought in their handmade cars and launchers and competed against hundreds of kids from local schools. Students were also able to participate in a math test competition. The math department selected students to take an Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Advanced Math test. They too competed against hundreds of students from local schools. Students who placed in the top 3 were recognized today. Even though noone placed in the engineering part of the competition, they still had lots of fun and walked away with ideas for next time! However, we did have 2 students place from the math exams. Congratulations to Myles Carson for placing 2nd on the Advanced Math test and Reese Poindexter for placing 3rd on the Geometry test!
Aside from competing in these events, there were 20 booths set up for students to visit with local colleges tech programs, and businesses for future education and job careers!
