🎉 Congratulations, Brenda Barney! 🎉
Wagoner Public Schools is proud to celebrate our Board President, Brenda Barney, on being named a 2026 OSSBA All-State School Board Member by the Oklahoma State School Boards Association!
For nearly 20 years, Brenda has dedicated her time, energy, and leadership to serving Wagoner students, staff, and our community. As board president for most of her tenure, she has helped lead our district through important milestones, including a five-year strategic plan, a $23 million bond package, administrative transitions, and the implementation of a four-day school week.
Her commitment to our students extends beyond the school board. Brenda has helped build partnerships that create new opportunities for students and continues to advocate for public education at the local, state, and national levels.
Superintendent Randy Harris shared, “Brenda Barney has been a positive influence on our school district for many years… Through her dedication to our students and staff, we have seen WPS grow in many areas.”
We are grateful for Brenda’s leadership, dedication, and passion for Wagoner students. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor!

The Wagoner Education Foundation has once again demonstrated its incredible commitment to our students and staff by awarding the largest amount of teacher grants in Foundation history!
This year, $49,126 was awarded to Wagoner Public Schools educators, bringing the Foundation’s total investment in our classrooms to an amazing $304,774 over the years. These grants will provide innovative resources, hands-on learning opportunities, and classroom experiences that directly benefit our students.
We are incredibly grateful to the Wagoner Education Foundation Board, donors, and community supporters who continue to invest in the success of our teachers and students. Your generosity helps turn great ideas into meaningful learning experiences!

As we prepare for an exciting new school year, we want to let our families know about a change to our school day.
Due to Oklahoma’s new state-mandated recess requirements, we have adjusted our daily schedule to ensure we continue providing students with the instructional time they need while meeting the new state law.
🗓️ First Day of School: Thursday, August 6
⏰ New School Hours: 7:45 a.m. – 3:10 p.m.

We are incredibly proud to share that Juliana “Goose” Hutchens has reclassified and will be joining the University of Oklahoma Softball program this fall!
