Indian education and the Johnson O’Malley Program at Wagoner Public Schools can help Indian students with:

-School supplies

These will be given out at the beginning of each school year. If students run out of supplies during the school year, they can contact:

-ACT tests - For grades 10th, 11th, and 12th

Students must sign up and pay for the ACT. Then bring the receipt and a paper with the ACT score on it to the administration building with attention to - Indian education on it.

Students will be issued a check for $50 to help pay for the ACT. This only covers the ACT and not the writing portion of the test. Jom will pay for two test fees a year. All juniors will be given the act at the high school every April.

-Help with summer camps

Students can bring a receipt for up to $40 a year for any sport, music, or art camp. (No church camps) All receipts must have the student's name on it and be turned into the administration building with attention to - Indian education on it.

All receipts must be turned in by June 1st. So if your child is attending camp after that date, then pay and get receipt early.

No receipts can be turned in from June 2 through June 30th because of budget due dates. Receipts can be turned in after July 1st for camps they went to in July at beginning of next school year.

-Cap and gown for seniors

Students can bring a receipt for up to $40 on cap and gown. Receipts will be turned into administration building with attention to - Indian education.

-Letterman jackets

Students can bring in a receipt and get a $40 check to help cover the cost. Students must also have print out of current report card. Students must have A’s and B’s to get help with letterman jackets. Turn in receipt and report card to administration building with attention to - Indian education.

-Fees to approved native conferences

-Membership to Oklahoma Indian Student Honor Society

This is for grades 9th through 12th. It is a $12 membership fee. This is for students with a 3.9 grade point average. You will sign up online in February and will be reimbursed once you turn in the receipt.

-Membership to American Indian Science and Engineering Society

This is for grades 11th and 12th. It is a $5 membership fee. This society offers scholarships to members and internships. You will sign up online and will be reimbursed once you turn in the receipt.

-Perfect attendance blankets

These are for Indian students in any grade with perfect attendance all school year. These will be purchased if enough funds at the end of the school year. They will be given out at JOM supply night.

All JOM funds for students are to be paid for by the parents and then the receipt turned into the administration building with attention to - Indian education on it. A check will then be issued for reimbursement. Only approved items can be reimbursed.
