AMNESTY-ONE TIME ONLY

Dear Parents and Students:

As we begin our fourth week of school, we are getting a routine established and students are doing a remarkable job following the health procedures in place.  I want to encourage students and parents to check grades regularly.  Mrs. Luna posted instructions on how to do this.  If you are having trouble, please email or call Mrs. Luna or Mrs. Grooms, our school counselors.

Many of our students had difficulty adjusting to being physically in class for only 2 days per week.  They have had to be responsible for managing their time and for some students managing access to the internet to complete schoolwork.  Parents have had to manage work hours, younger siblings, activities, and internet.  All of these issues have contributed to a large number of students missing assignments.   We recognize the huge learning curve Blended Learning has been for everyone.  Many of our teachers have school age children as well and can certainly relate to the transition.

For all of these reasons, we are offering students the opportunity to make up any missing grades from the first two weeks of school.  They must be completed by Friday, September 25th.  This does not in any way change due dates for any assignments since that time.  If you are unsure what you need to make up, check your grades on-line or contact the teacher.

Please watch for information about Parent/Teacher Conferences on September 28, 2020.

Sincerely,

Della Parrish
